Lindie Droulia, President and Executive Director

Founder of Beyond the Lens Project and loving mother of Philip, Lindie is an Associate Director for University Events & Alumni Engagement at Carnegie Mellon University. She holds a degree in Graphic Communications with more than 20 years in Marketing and Design. A trained communicator and active supporter of recovery programs, she is also a board member of Little Wings of Hope, a sister nonprofit located in Pittsburgh, PA.  

Lindie oversees all aspects of the business operations: marketing and outreach, philanthropy initiatives and financial support of the Philip A. Droulia Foundation. “ I feel the presence of art, and art therapy, can have a positive impact on improving mental health and support the recovery process by providing a meaningful outlet. “I believe Philip wanted me to focus on his creativity in the recovery community to support others like him, so I created the Beyond the Lens Project in remembrance of him, his many talents and his passion for photography. It’s my way of giving my pain a purpose.”

Kara Schaefer, Associate Director

An advocate in the recovery community and Philip’s sister, Kara is responsible for a wide range of functions and initiatives supporting the activities of Beyond the Lens Project including grass-roots outreach, philanthropy, community development and social media communications support.

Veronica Droulia, Communications and Marketing Specialist

Veronica is our communications and marketing specialist. She focuses on Beyond The Lens Project’s digital strategy and social media. As the youngest in the Droulia family, Philip and Veronica were the same age and shared a love of content creation and photography together. As a social media content creator herself, she credits Philip for her interest in being in front of the camera.

Elizabeth Guilbeau, Financial Officer

Elizabeth holds a Masters from Tulane University Law School specializing in labor and employment law. She is responsible for the sound financial and strategic growth of the Beyond the Lens Project. Her experience will support the creation of finance and fundraising goals and ensure the Foundation's sound fiscal management in achieving the annual goals and objectives of Beyond the Lens Project.

Eileen Granata, Executive Consultant

Eileen is the Founder and Executive Director of Little Wings of Hope Foundation, supporting chemically dependent youths on the journey towards recovery - created in memory of her daughter Bethany. She has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience including cause marketing and nonprofit organizations. Eileen is a representative for Primerica. She supports the Beyond the Lens Project with creating finance and fundraising goals, aid in the growth and development of the nonprofit. Her belief is that success is measured by the number of young lives saved by assisting them in their recovery needs.
